The kitchen cabinets, some assembly required. They are made by Ikea and are shipped flat. We chose Wisconsin Beech. This photo shows all of the cabinets. I do not know when we will get started on installing them since there are two uppers and two base cabinets that are damaged. We can put them together but cannot install - the key cabinets are the damaged ones. Would you really expect anything else? |

The boxes are put together and ready to install, except for the damaged ones, of course. There is still quite a bit of work left on them. |

This is our temporary kitchen, set up where the new cabinets will be going. It took 2 weeks from start to finish on the cabinets, not counting the delay while we waited on the replacement damaged cabinets. |

The boxes are hung on the wall with a long horizontal bracket that supports them. Each cabinet is not screwed into the wall individually, they are attached to the bracket. |

The first meal cooked in the new kitchen. If you are building your own house you can certainly relate to this moment! Wednesday December 19, 2001 |
