Vaughan-Lewis Icefall, Juneau Icefield Alaska
The Vaughan Lewis Icefall is located in the Camp 18 sector of the Juneau Icefield in Southeast Alaska. The vertical drop is about 2200 feet. The bulges you see near the bottom are called wave bulges and are caused by the differential speed of the ice cascading down and the relatively slower speed of the Gilkey Glacier below.
