Okay, here is the scoop on using this wallpaper page with Windows.

Click the file that is appropriate for your monitor resolution, either 800 X 600 or 1024 x 768. Do not attempt to use the small image as wallpaper...unless you like big pixels. Make sure to load the whole full-size image in your browser before you save it as wallpaper.

Notice jpg and zip files. If you click jpg you will load your browser window with the image. Then right click on the image and click 'set as wallpaper'. The other, and better, way is to right click on the image and click 'save picture as', at this point I am not going to tell you how to manage the files on your computer... now that you have saved the image in some file go to your desktop and right click, go to Properties then Background, click Browse find the image in the file you saved it in, you may want to click the box to stretch (win 98), click apply and say ok.

Using the Zip files. I added them for convenience, the images did not compress very much. I will presume if you are clicking Zip files you must know how to use them and have the software to unzip them, if not here is a link.   Get Winzip  After unzipping to a file read the instructions above starting with....now that you.

All photos by Don Mccully, unless otherwise noted.

You will notice there is no copyright info on these images, although they are Copyright © 2000, Don Mccully; Copyright © 2000, Gretchen Weeks; Copyright © 2000, Susan Collett; Copyright © 2000, Toby Dittrich; and Copyright © 2000, Cicely Wingate. I did not want to mess up your nice desktop, please respect my hard work and if you use them on a website at least credit me, Susan or Cicely with a mention.

Any probs, or if you like them . Hey, don't be afraid to write I'm just a regular person, not some spammer!
