| After a devastating fire in the winter of 2004-5 the owners of Ultima Thule Lodge contacted us to build a kitchen and dining room. When we arrived a top-notch framing crew was just finishing up and our job was to complete the interior and exterior. There was incredible pressure to complete the dining room quickly since the Lodge was opening for the summer in a few short weeks. We worked with a craftsman from Switzerland who scribed the beautiful burl boards. All of the lumber for the interior and exterior finish was made from felled standing dead trees then milled and planed onsite. Actually it was a lot of work...but worth it for the result! |
