Remodeling the Prussian house in Thorne Bay, Prince of Wales Island, Alaska

(This is our special Thorne Bay house email address)

OPEN HOUSE! We held an open house for those that have seen the house before we remodeled, and for those that haven't seen it yet. Heard some great stories of the old camp house and its history. Up to now the interior is basically finished. Don and I spent a few hours under the house connecting the propane and the last of the electric. Then it was frantic cleaning and setting up.Hopefully no more midnight work days, a little siding, some under-the-house cleanup, and we'll be moving in a week!

Don and Aaron put the final touches on the kitchen...connecting the propane to the range.

The kitchen...is done.

The dining room.

The living room.

The final window in the office.

Ahhhh, sunshine.

KK, defying gravity in the new living room.

The open house rages on...

A toast to the open house, with a fine single malt scotch.

Click to enlarge image, it will open in a seperate browser window. The big room at top is the Living Room. The kitchen now will have an island instead of a counter/bar area. The door at the bottom is a future project, that area is called the 'odd room'. For now, the front door will stay in the laundry room/pantry.
