| Glaciospeleologia - Glaciospeleology |
In March 1995 "Hielo Patagonico" takes off. It is an expedition of sixteen researchers and over two tons of equipment. Object of study is the Perito Moreno glacier, which is one of the "small" side lobes (60 sq. kms.) flowing down from the Hielo Continental, over 400 km. long, the world largest glacial mass with the exception of the polar zones. This is the story of that exploration under the glacier. |
| Pictures from Vatnajökull eruption |
On September 30, 1996 a volcanic eruption started underneath Vatnajökull. This thunderous fight of fire and ice makes for one of nature's most dramatic spectacles. Great photos of the volcano that erupted under a glacier in Iceland. |
| Volcanic Eruption in Vatnajökull |
Same site as above , this link takes you directly to the photos. |
