| Icefield Camp Photos | Located in Southeast Alaska, the Juneau Icefield is the fifth largest Icefield in North America and has been my home for 15 summer seasons as a staff person with the Juneau Icefield Research Program, JIRP, click here for more info on JIRP. This site is a very different perspective of the Icefield compared to what a visitor or student on the Icefield would normally see. It is not meant to be a comparative study of the differences from year to year but more of a historical, albeit nostalgic look back at some of the original buildings and snow depths. The surfer who happens to land on this site would gain the most out of the aerial views section. Seeing the big picture! |
