In summer of 2005 I was asked to apply for a job at the science research facility called Summit at the summit of the Greenland Icecap, which is above the Arctic Circle. Part of the appplication process was going to the station for an interview. The elevation is 10,200 feet and because of its high latitude the equivalent altitude is about 12,000 feet. It took a couple of days to acclimate, some people never do. I did not accept the job, but I would be more likely to now if the offer came up again.
