Rebuild house after Hurricane Katrina

| Friends of ours called to say they needed our help to rebuild their house in Florida. Most of the damage was done by 48 inches of water that ran through, as opposed to wind. By the time we arrived most of the demolition had been done, including the concrete cuts necessary to install the new sewer line. After the walls were stripped of the wallboard it became apparent the entire electrical and plumbing system would need replacing. We were there for a lot of the coldest part of the winter, it was difficult to tell friends back home in Alaska it was 80 degrees outside. |
