Finally I have had the time to catch up on this site.

This is the story of building a house in Thorne Bay, Alaska. It did not start out to build a house, but after tearing into the walls of the old house it rapidly became apparent that what was there had to go. We decided to completely tear the old one down. There were a few items salvaged, things such as some big beams and the old floor joists. No one shed a tear, except the folks that lived there for so many years, to see the old place go. It had fallen into a state of such disrepair that we had no choice but to demolish the entire house and start fresh.
